November 25, 2016 | Chicago Post-Tribune | Nancy Coltun Webster | Ken Schoon opens the door to his small office on the third floor of the Library Conference Center at Indiana University Northwest and says he’s “absolutely flabbergasted” to have won the 2016 Dorothy Riker Hoosier Historian Award.

The award will be presented during the Founders Day dinner and awards banquet Dec. 5 at the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana History Center in Indianapolis. It recognizes a historian who has made distinguished contributions to the field of historical scholarship.
