Region residents are invited to a celebration this Sunday November 5, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the Indiana Dunes Visitor Center marking the 51st anniversary of Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore. The documentary, “Shifting Sands,” which covers the environmental history of Northwest Indiana and the creation of Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore will be shown. “A birthday cake will be served and we may have a surprise guest speaker,” said the news release from park officials.
