April 13, 2017 | The Commercial Record | The Saugatuck Center for the Arts will partner with the Saugatuck Douglas History Center to present a free screening of the documentary “Shifting Sands: On the Path to Sustainability” Thursday, April 20, in the SCA at 7 p.m. The Emmy-nominated film explores how the Indiana Dunes region was conserved.
“The dunes story is relatable to many pockets of the country, especially ours,” said SDHC executive director Nathan Nietering. “This film captures a narrative that weaves the importance of ecology, the environment, and consensus-building into one story.”
